In marketing, brand management is the analysis and planning of how that brand is perceived in the market. Developing good relationships with the target market is essential for brand management. The tangible elements of brand management include the product itself; look, price, packaging etc.

If one wants to be a strong brand manager one must spend a lot of time in researching, defining and building their brand.

Brand management is the most important step.
The main job of a brand manager is to define his brand, who is he? what does it mean? For many brands their definition serves as a measuring stick in evaluating things like marketing materials and strategies.
The person should ask himself these questions to begin the process.
Question 1: What products are offered and what services are provided?
The next question would be to define values. What are the core values ??of products and services? What are the values ??of one’s company? How about Mission; Does the company have one or more of the specializations?
With more such questions answered, the next step will be to create and bring to life a personality for the company.
Who is the target audience and how does this company’s personality react to them? The final step in defining a brand is reviewing the answers and creating a profile of it. Describe the personality with words and write it like a biography or personal ad .

The first is personal branding: which is the easiest type, one is not branding a company but oneself. They must believe in their talents, skills and abilities to market themselves.
The other type of branding is called internal branding, which is more corporate and business in a way. When using internal branding, one is not branding oneself but one’s company.
