The data gives an inside view of what content users consumed throughout the year on their Fire TV devices to keep themselves entertained. Since its inception, Fire TV has always focused on keeping the entire family entertained with something for everyone, be it kids, elders, movie buffs, or fitness enthusiasts and it is quite evident in the report.

With people spending more time at home now, Fire TV devices have managed to keep its users company. According to the data, in 2021, customers spent nearly 4 hours each day watching content on their Fire TV devices, up from 3 hours per day as compared to 2020. 1 in 3 Fire TV customers said farewell to a cable or DTH connection and customers interacted with Alexa on an average of once every 4 seconds on Fire TV devices.

Peppa Pig, Doraemon and Cocomelon were the most popular kids shows on Fire TV devices, with at least one user asking Alexa for these shows every minute!

Going Beyond The Metros…
Amazon further shares that customers purchased Fire TV devices in 80% of pin codes across India. Depicting the power of the markets beyond metros, smaller cities like Hisar, Tiruvallur, Chittoor, Alwar, Imphal, and South Andaman saw an increased growth in sales of Fire TV devices.

In 2021, Amazon launched its first local manufacturing line to produce Fire TV devices and also launched its signature Fire TV Cube device in India. Fire TV has movies and shows from Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, ALT Balaji, Discovery Plus, and more and has sold more than 150 million devices worldwide.
